About Us
The F riends of the National Arboretum Canberra (previously known as Friends of the Canberra International Arboretum and Gardens (CIAG)), incorporated in 2008, is an enthusiastic group of people who are interested in supporting the Arboretum and its on-going development. The F riends offer the opportunity to work within the community and contribute to the development of Australia's newest Arboretum.
The web site about the Arboretum project can be viewed here.
Partnerships
The F riends have entered into a supporting partnership with Carers ACT to support the work of carers in our community through activities including visits to the Arboretum, presentation of talks and by an annual donation from the profits from our major event fundraising. These funds will be allocated by Carers ACT to relevant projects.
Directions
The main entrance to the National Arboretum Canberra is at the end of Lady Denman Drive through the Tuggeranong Parkway underpass. If you are traveling along Lady Denman Drive from the city, turn right at the traffic lights before Barrenjoey Drive and continue straight ahead under the Tuggeranong Parkway overpass. The entry is straight ahead.
